Novel Project
Plot
I. Introduction
A. it takes place in harlem which is in New York City and takes place in around fall
B. The main character is just Devon
II. Rising action
A. Devon wants to graduate from colleage because he wants to graduate and he cares about graduating and makin his parents proud.
III. Climax
A. The turing point is when he graduates from colleage.
IV. Falling action
A. Their suprised and he graduates
V. Resolution
A. How to survive and how important education is.
B. They'll get a job.
Novel Project
life
Life so far has been hard. Wass up to the people out their who live is still on track and always have been. My name is Devon Jefferson. Im 13 years old livin in harlem. My moms and paps died when i was 10, they were driving to my Elmentary Graduation. They were in a car accident. A drunk driver slamed into my moms and paps car, They were dead 20 mintues after they arrived at the hospital. They were so exicited to see me graduate because that means i might go to middle school, than high school, than colleage.
Nobody in my family has graduated from colleage. The professers actually told my moms and paps they might graduate because percentages show that about 63 percent of Hispanics/Latinos and Blacks will graduate or fail. My paps was Hispanic and my moms was Black. They both met in high school. So now 5 years later im in colleage tryin to beat thoose percentages and make my mom and paps happy.
Before i arrived at colleage my life was almost gone. I was in a gang and when i got out, one of the people in a gang that we used to fight pulled out a gun on me. I ranned but he shot me in the leg, than when i was on the ground bleeding i was shot again in the chest and in my right arm. Somebody who heard the gun shots called the cops and the ambulance. I also shot somebody once. He was a cashier at a store i was stealing from. I shot him when he pulled a gun out on me. I knew my moms and paps cryin cause of what i did but smilin cause of how i improved and now goin to colleage fulfillin their dream.

Goree Island/ poem essay
Goree Island and the poem Liberty and Slavery both have something in common. Its that they express the feelings of a slave. They both tell you what a slave had to go through.They both bring the past and make it the future. In other words they want you know your past and the suffuring that slaves had to go through and how they were treated. This essay is going to explain to you what the poem and the article have in common.
" How long have I in bondage lain, And longed to be free! Alas! And must I still complain- Deprived of liberty. " This stanzad from the poem "Liberty and Slavery " applies to the article on Goree Island. It applies to the article because in the article it tells you how they would collect groups of 12. Six men and Six woman. They would bond them together with neck iron,chains, and heavy weights.
In the poem, George Moses Horton is telling us that they are bond together. That they been in slavery for so long they dont even know how long. They want to be free and has been for so long. They were deprived of their rights and of their liberty.

The Last Orangutans
4# When the author mentions that she was inspired by a paleontologist named Louis Leakey so she motivated herself to spend time at his camp for helping primates survive such as orangutans.
3# Because they wanted to explain the life of the orangutans before Gladikas introduced herself into their lifes of the orangutans.
5# It illustrates that sometimes a animal would seek revenge aganist somebody who harms them. My dog Juinor in the year of 2004 bit my uncles nuts off because he had hit my dog in the nose or ear so the cops came and put my dog to sleep or shot him. I was in first grade and my father came to pick me up and told me that my dog was dead. ( but my dog was evil anyway,he bit me the most,he bit me 2 times in my arm and my hand on the same arm he bit.

September 14,1963
Today it was so hot I tried to find somewhere thats cold and refreshing. Somewhere thats not so humid. So I went to go relax under the magnolia tree. It was so refreshing cause the shade of the tree provided me some cool,relaxing air. Then Byron and Joetta started running over saying "Move over !" "Im hot too" than I was angry cause they this comein over here, taking all the fresh,cool, and relaxing air away. Than i just kinda fell asleep and started sleep walkin.

Today it was still hot, so went to the lake. Than grandma sands said "If y'all are going to the water, you stay away from Collier's Landing. A couple of years ago, Miss Thomas's little boy Jimmy got caught up in some kinda whirlpool there and they didn't find that poor soul's body for three days." I saw 2 signs with 2 arrows. One said " Public Swimming" and the other sign said " WARING ! NO TRESPASSING ! NO SWIMMING ! PUBLIC ENTREE ! signed Joe Collier". I said " oh man ! colliers landing" Lets go" I knew Joey was gonna snitch

HW 57#
I think high school will be different from middle school because the work will be harder. The teachers will be different and tougher. The students will look and probably act more mature. The classes will be longer, but you will have fewer classes than you do now.
I do think middle school is prepareing you for high school. The work and obstacles of this work we do now in the 6th grade is preparing us for the next and next and for the grades we will go to in the future. The work we do now is easier than the work we are gonna face in the future grades.

1.Larry Dunn was kindergarten to fourth grade king at Clark Elementary because he was twice as strong as everybody else and older than everybody else.
3.Kenny had some advantages to having the school god as your older brother, because now people didn't tease him as much because now he wasn't alot bout his lazy eye or being smart.
